Financials can feel over whelming but it doesn’t have to feel this way. A couple of years ago even I felt very overwhelmed with what was going on financially. I am responsible for managing the funds, making income, the household, the business, and my children. I am unmarried, solo parenting and a solo business owner. Yes, it felt like a lot because I was trying to do it in my own strength. Even married couples and multiple business partners can’t do it all in their own strength. After inviting Jesus into my business and personal life and let him get to the root of the issue.
Before, I felt like I was on a money roller coaster
You know that feeling that we all think is required in business ownership. After learning to seek God first I know that the slow times are the seasons that God gives to us for vacation or re-assessing current systems. I have enjoyed working 1/2 days without guilt. Normally business owners stress over money instead of relaxing, so we still work without God. The only thing that stops the money roller coaster is peace with God not more clients.
This month we are going to cover financial strategies to help you earn consistent income, money management, and stream line systems to save us time and money.
In June, we worked on developing customer love plans. How can you earn money and serve your clients? What system can you use for marketing and collect the payments? What about delivering the product?
One major cost for business owners is product and service advertisements and systems to deliver the product. I have always wondered why do people think it has to cost so much? I believe the misconception “It takes money to make money” makes us believe we have to spend large amounts of money to invest in our business.
What I have learned is that first, we learn what it takes to advertise the product/service, maintain inventory, deliver the digital download, and collect payments. Next, how can we accomplish that goal at a low cost to us? What can we do with the resources that God allows us?
To give you an example, Acuity scheduling will allow for you to schedule paid appointments (clients can schedule and pay), sell products and send an email with a link to the download (a digital product). You can add images and create a small simple landing page. You can connect to your email manager for future email or export the client list to add to the email manager. You can sell your product or service through a system like Acuity Scheduling until you can afford an all in one system. You can also create coupons and add-on in this system. Or keep it! It’s one of my favorites!
You can also use Acuity for all of the steps that come with a webinar registration and that includes collecting payments with reminders. All for $10-20 a month. Not bad. Less is more!
