About God’s Business Podcast: Different Types of Christians?

When I first began networking, I was able to meet many different types of people. Although, I grew up with many different cultures many of them did not speak about Christianity. I lived in a culture that believed that we are saved if we believed in Christ, but we still loved life according to our desires. I knew many important pieces were missing. I had a feeling deep inside the things that we were encouraged to do in relationships, and business just didn’t feel right. Many people made certain comments, and I was called “a goodie goodie.” Or I was told that we have to live and let live or have fun.

Later in life, I found that what I was feeling was going against the word of God. That’s why it felt wrong. I noticed that if we made specific choices things would be better and I also saw that sometimes it was hard not to make the same hurtful choices over and over again.

What I didn’t know is that we had to fight the flesh and that also we are being manipulated by dark spiritual forces. Agents of light surrounded us, but we seldom heard them speak until now. We live in an age that scriptures refer to as a time of deception. Matthew 24:24 NIV for false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.

2 Corinthians 11:12-14 – 13 for such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. 14 And no marvel, for Satan himself, is transformed into an angel of light. 15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

Unfortunately, teaching we have received is the teachings of people or demons but not of the Holy Spirit. Today we have many false spirits and profits, and we have to know them by their fruit. The Holy Spirit leads us to live the word of God. 1 Timothy 4:7 Have nothing to do with foolish stories old women tell. Keep yourself growing in God-like living.

Matthew 7:15-20 NKJV – You will know them by their fruits
15 Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. 16 You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? 17 Even so, even good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 therefore by their fruits you will know them.

Remember. Do not accuse people of being wolves. Many have like most of us sadly been deceived. Wolves will seek to keep us from Godly living or lead us in a way that only leads to physical and spiritual death. Just be on guard by spending time with the L-rd.

Let’s read Timothy 4:1-10 for this weeks study.
