I must depend on you to provide the information I need to prepare complete and accurate services. I may ask you to clarify some items but will not audit or otherwise verify the data you submit. You may receive multiple questions in order to clarify data. If at any time the data is determined to be inaccurate, I will first request your help to obtain the correct data. If, however, you choose for me to continue without the corrected information or documents I will require a waiver to accept data as is and you will release me from liability if the information is not correct. If you do not waive liability and will not submit the corrected information your services will be terminated without refund and the services will not be completed and released, due to liability and unethical preparation issues, this is considered a violation of the Engagement Agreement.
An organizer is enclosed to help you collect the data required for your return. The Organizer will help you avoid overlooking important information. By using it, you will contribute to the efficient preparation of your returns and help minimize the cost of my services.
I send out quotes for your services. You may ask questions and or change services at any time with written notice.
Reoccurring payments: If you have monthly services, your new services will begin on the date of your first payment and will repeat each month on the same date until you request cancellation or a change in agreed upon price. If you change your payment the new payment will begin with the next month’s payment.
Payments are due at the beginning of your services. To the extent permitted by state law, I am able to charge a late fee but I do not charge a late fee. Be aware that late payments will stop or delay work and impacts others. Payment plans are allowed in certain situations and due payable within two weeks of the original payment. Tax returns will not be released until full payment has been received, a few exceptions are considered. Remember payments take 2 days to process and longer over weekends and holidays. I release tax documents after payment is received. Pay as soon as possible to avoid delay in delivery.
Terms of Service Violations
In order to provide your services documents, receipts, and various questions are required to determine the accuracy of your records. Incomplete data will create incomplete and inaccurate information. Please respond to requests for information as soon as possible. I usually request the information at least 3 days prior to when I need the documents because I understand you will need to work it into your schedule. I will let you know the date I need the information in my request. If documents are not submitted or resistance to submission of documents is apparent on your part, your terms of service agreement will be terminated. Usually, after 4 weeks of requesting without contact, you will receive notice via email or US mail. Balance due is due and payable at the time of termination without refund (unless I did not reach the max number of hours, you will receive a refund minus expenses). You will receive an invoice if a balance is due. The balance due is based on my hours worked and not a deliverable product once the contract is violated. Also, note that if your documents appear to be missing are inaccurate and you fail to provide the accurate information, your service will be terminated.
Accordingly, our engagement should not be relied upon to disclose errors, fraud, or other illegal acts, though it may be necessary for you to clarify some of the information you submit. I will, of course, inform you of any material errors, fraud, or other illegal acts I discover.
Should I encounter instances of unclear tax law or violation of GAAP (generally accepted accounting principles), or of potential conflicts in the interpretation of the law, I will outline reasonable courses of action and the risks and consequences of each. I will ultimately adopt, on your behalf, the alternative you select.
Business & Personal Accounting Solutions, Corp. business hours are Monday through Friday 9-5 except for holy days. Closed weekends and most evenings. Sunday or Evening appointments by request only. Closed on Saturdays. Calls and emails will be returned within 24-48 hours on the next business day. However, this may be longer during tax season, but you are important and you will receive a response.
Occasional after-hours calls or meetings will be worked in according to schedule. All meetings will need to be scheduled with payment. In person, meetings are an additional fee outside of your preparation fee. Payment is due prior to the meeting.

Upon Work Completion
I will return your original records to you at the end of the engagement. You should securely store these records, along with all supporting documents, canceled checks, etc., as these items may later be needed to prove the accuracy and completeness of a return. We will retain copies of your records and our work papers for your engagement for seven years, after which these documents will be destroyed. I maintain digital records. Printed copies can be requested for $20 each, if not included in the sales price (Covers printing materials and postage).
